Broome Rental Market Update - April 2019

The Broome rental market is slowly stabilising again after the wet season.  Last week we leased 10 properties in one week and more than 80 properties overall in the past 12 weeks. That is on average 1 property per day.

While leasing activity is slightly down from this time last year tenants are not moving house with the same frequency they once were, preferring to stay put for longer periods. In 2018 the vacancy rate was 3.97% whereas in 2019 for the same period the vacancy rate is 3.26%.  

The number of days on market remains about the same so it is still a competitive market. With school holidays just around the corner we know it will get even busier. Now is a perfect time to list your property to rent as we have quality tenants looking for various terms in accommodation. Renters are serious about finding a new home and with our experience and expertise you can be assured that your rental property is in great hands. 

Our Tenant App streamlines the search process for our prospective tenants as it facilitates enquiries, lets tenants book inspections out-of-hours and with an auto reminder service alerting tenants to scheduled inspections we are seeing fewer no-shows. This means our Team continually lease properties faster while keeping our landlords well informed of any enquiry.
