Today officially marks the first day of the wet season ... lucky for us we are still enjoying beautiful Broome balmy weather.
We had a great October in both our Sales and Property Management teams which are great signs for our market. In Sales we had 5 properties go Under Offer, 2 Properties Sell & 26 properties leased.
According to a Senior Official of the Reserve Bank, the Kimberley and broader WA economies are stabilising. The article suggests we certainly haven't made a full recovery, while there has been an increase in activity from mining they suggest the housing sector remains subdued. Some exciting news for Broome next year ...
Big players in the cruise industry have agreed to send their passenger vessels to Broome after an international meeting was held locally. The number of cruise ships scheduled to stop in Broome over the next two years is set to increase significantly. Passengers often spend a couple of days in Broome, a very small portion fly out from our airport although approx 75% spend at least one night here. Carnival Australia is reported to port its Sea Princess late next year which has a capacity of 2,200 passengers as well as some of the smaller ships including Coral Adventurer, Island Sky and Seabourn Sojourn.
